There Is No Such Thing As An Ordinary Pet Cat
If you’re a pet cat person, you’ll know the above headline is absolutely true. Every one is unique in looks, temperament and personality. I’ve been fortunate enough in life to become acquainted with several cats (some of whom have deigned to live with me) who have ranged in personality from the timid to the insane and the cool aloof superior to the schizophrenic slasher. One even saved my life many years ago – but that’s another story.
What’s unique about pet cats becomes apparent when you look them in the eye: A primal intelligence that stares back at you with an unflinching gaze. No other animal (except maybe a primate) does it. Cats are the epitome of evolution – graceful, smart and sleek. But, more than that, they’re great fun. And, if you’re ever feeling down, a pet cat will bring a smile to your face through insane deeds or simple companionship. To quote Roger Caras:
Cats are a tonic, they are a laugh, they are a cuddle, they are at least pretty just about all of the time and beautiful some of the time.
But you should always remember:
You can keep a dog; but it is the cat who keeps people, because cats find humans useful domestic animals.

Keeping Your Pet Cat Healthy And Happy
That’s what you were put on Earth for! Well, maybe it’s one of the reasons. Your feline furball brings you great pleasure and companionship and as a partner/significant other in this relationship, you have certain obligations of care, food preparation and entertainment. Your pet cat’s continued health and happiness depends on the daily choices you make, and the care, attention and fun time you give your feline friend(s).
