The patient was allowed home today! Mocha had a very restful night at the vet’s and has been allowed home to recuperate from his accident.
I have to keep him in for a week and he’s not going to be happy about that. I forsee him going stir crazy in a couple of days!
He’s been prescribed Metacam for pain relief. This a a liquid that can be easily dropped on food. In Mocha’s case, he licks it directly from the syringe so it’s an easy medicine to give.
With his nails gone (they will eventually regrow), at least he won’t be shredding any carpets or furniture in frustration at his captivity.
